Rogers Hometown Hockey is back for a 2nd year and the first stop is here in Kitchener!

Rogers Hometown Hockey will return for a second season and this time it will not only land in Kitchener… Kitchener will be the very first stop of the Canada-wide tour.

Host Ron MacLean and company will set up shop here on the weekend of October 10th and 11th: the Thanksgiving long weekend.

Rogers, which is the owner of this radio station, says due to the overwhelming support for the event last year, it will now be broadcast on Sportsnet.

President of Sportsnet and NHL Properties for Rogers, Scott Moore says “We’re excited to share this experience with 24 new communities across the country this upcoming season and continuing to grow the game at a grassroots level.”

Ron MacLean says “Hockey in Canada is a love story – a story with no end, and we look forward to discovering our collective passion once again next year.”

More details will be released in the coming months, including the special guests that will converge on the city that weekend.

All told, Rogers Hometown Hockey will visit 24 communities next season and it promises even more hockey festivities, bigger entertainment and special guests.
