This picture really is worth a thousand words, isn’t it? The funny thing is that I thought “National Drink Beer Day” in Canada was the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Or, really, any day that ends in “y.” But apparently there’s a “Drink Beer Day” celebrated around the world. And rightly so!

Of course, thanks to #BeerFreeFor115, I’m not allowed to take part in Drink Beer Day this year. Unless today was Christmas, which it’s not. So Chad, Shawn, Todd, Karl, Mike and I are patiently waiting until Christmas morning when we will unwrap our specially-brewed Block Three beer and toast the time we committed to that silly idea of giving up such a delicious beverage for 115 days.

Fascinating beer fact for you: the oldest known recipe ever written was for beer. It’s a noble beverage indeed. Jennifer and I will share more beer facts with you Tuesday morning at 7:10, just so those of us in the #BeerFreeFor115 Challenge will really know what we’re missing.

If you’re able to celebrate National Drink Beer Day, please have one (or two) for me. Have fun, be safe, and make Bob and Doug MacKenzie proud. 🙂

Yours in beerlessness,

Farwell
