downloadIt shows a softer, sadder, and poignant side to the film. Robin Williams and Sally Field portrayed an everyday married couple with kids in this ’93 flick.

But early on in the film, Daniel (Williams) & Miranda (Field) Hillard paint a picture of two unhappy people, who consequently end up in divorce.

As the film progresses, Daniel, desperate to spend more time with his children, eventually creates “Mrs. Doubtfire” – namely himself dressed as an older woman, hired by Miranda as a housekeeper for she and the kids.

The hilarity of the comedy is not lost – Daniel caught in “womanly situations”, consequently watching his ex wife starting to date again. Ultimately, the jig is up, and the true Mrs. Doubtfire is revealed.

However – critics and film-goers have said that despite the engaging nature of the film, the obvious impact of a divorce on children sometimes gets lost in the plot. Now, recently revealed deleted scenes stitch the film back up.

Mrs. Doubtfire wasn’t a comedy. Not really. Watch the clips – Williams’ excellence as an actor is on full display.
