DEAREST GENTLE READER,

Here it is: after a full year of gratitude, I’ve finally reached a half of a century.

If you’ve been following along the past year, I thank you. You’re one of the people who make everything worth it.

In the past, when I’ve looked back on my life, I’ve often thought about the things that lagged. I wish I had a house like most of my friends. Why couldn’t I find anyone to hang out with in my life until I was 49 years old? Why did I just get bit by a random dog at the dog park? Why did someone hack my bank account?!

BUT…comparison is the THIEF of joy. At the end of the day, when I look back on this gratitude journal over the past year, I’m reminded of all the good in my life. My wonderful friends, my family, my partner and his beautiful daughters, and as always…my most wonderful love of my life – my sweet snuggly pal, Otis the Wonderdog.

I have a great job where I get to bring JOY to other people every day. This is my ‘WHY” in life, and once you figure out your WHY (even if it’s just showing up and saying things), everything else falls into place.

I wish you many more trips around the sun, and years of gratitude.

xoxo Robin
