I spent most of the weekend getting reacquainted with my motorcycle. We spent more than 400km together and you get a lot of time to think while on the road. And all that thinking time gave me the idea for #SmallTownSundays.

I love taking the bike out on back country roads and this weekend took me up to Bruce County. While Walkerton (and the farm pictured below) was the ultimate destination, I took the long way there. I saw so many things…but didn’t stop for any of them. Now, I want to! So here’s the idea for #SmallTownSundays…

If you live in a small town, I’m sure there’s a reason you’re super proud of it. Maybe it’s a local restaurant that serves up the best small-town food of any small town, maybe it’s a giant ball of yarn or a park with the perfect view. Whatever it is, tell me about it! Then, on Sundays during the summer when the weather cooperates and time permits, I’ll come and pay a visit and post pictures of what I did. Hopefully, it will be a motorcycle trip. Maybe you’re a rider and we can take a little tour together. But I’ll bring the car when the occasion calls for it. Apparently, Producer Paulie has never been to the Cedar Rail in Harriston. We’ll get him there…in the car.

Among the places I visited this weekend were Belmore (The Hamlet with Heart), Wroxeter (former ghost town), and Molesworth — which advertises its cemetery with a website! What the…?! Check out the Molesworth Cemetery. Just don’t check in…yet. 😉

The obligatory bike shot is from a park in Harriston where I stopped to get a little work done and catch a few rays. Too bad the Cedar Rail was closed!

See you in your small town!
