While passing out flyers for his uncle’s pest control business, 18 year old Tyler Opdyke found a wallet laying on a driveway. No one saw him pick it up and he could’ve easily left with the wallet. To make it even more tempting the wallet had credit cards and $1500 in cash!

But Tyler is an honest boy, so he knocked on the door to the home and no one answered. So Tyler waved the wallet in front of the security camera on the porch and stuck it under the doormat. He said “I just really thought about what I would want someone to do if I were to drop my wallet. And then I thought about the house. I thought about the family who lived there.”

When Melissa Vang saw the security camera video, she was shocked that someone returned her husbands wallet, with all the cash still inside. Tyler stopped by the house again to make sure the wallet was still safe and that’s when Melissa and her kids came out to hug their him for his good deed. We can all feel a little better about the world knowing folks like Tyler are out there!
